Requirements for Child Care/Preschools and Schools
Immunizations Requirements for Child Care/Preschool and School Entry for Parents
To prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases, the California School Immunization Law requires that children entering child care, preschool and school meet requirements for immunization against certain diseases. The child care/preschool and school requirements are not as comprehensive as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, so parents we encourage you to make sure your children receive all of the CDC recommended vaccines in addition to the ones required for child care/preschool and school entry.
If your child is entering child care, preschool, kindergarten or 7th grade parents must show proof of the following immunizations requirements.
