A training program is scheduled Monday for businesses that sell tobacco
products in Stanislaus County.
The training is part of the county Health
Services Agency' Tobacco Education Program.
The session will begin at 10 a.m. in the main conference room at the
Health Services Agency, 830 Scenic Drive, Modesto.
The purpose of the training is to educate merchants who sell tobacco
products about the laws prohibiting sales to people under age 18. In addition,
participants will be given practical tips for training employees and on
posting proper signs.
Another training session is set for 10 a.m. Nov. 22 in the City Council
chamber at Turlock City Hall, 156
Broadway.
