A new coalition will look at ways to prevent deaths and injuries on roads in Stanislaus County.

The county Health Services Agency is forming the Safe Communities Coalition, which will include residents and agencies working on safety for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians.

The coalition will meet monthly for about an hour starting this month. It will be run by the Health Services Agency with funding from the state Department of Health Services.
