Stanislaus County Health Services Agency (HSA) Managing Director Beverly
M. Finley recently announced her retirement after a decade with Stanislaus
County. Finley was the Chief Executive Officer of the Stanislaus Medical
Center (formerly Scenic General Hospital) from 1990-1997 and Managing
Director of the Health Services Agency from 1994 to the present. She also
held senior administrative positions with the former Scenic General Hospital
from 1975-1983.
"Bev Finley will be sorely missed. She has been a tenacious advocate
for community health care in Stanislaus County. Whenever public health
was debated, you knew Bev Finley always stood first for patient's health
care access and the community. She truly represents the best in public
service," stated Congressman Gary Condit. Duane Bauner, President
of the California Healthcare Association believe Fnley's leadership will
be missed. "I would say that Bev Finley has been a giant in the healthcare
community in California. She has exhibited extraordinary leadership in
Stanislaus County and at the regional, state and federal levels. Her contributions
will continue to be felt for many years. It has been a pleasure to work
with such an accomplished healthcare professional," Dauner explained.
