Flu shots provided by the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency are still available, officials announced.

The cost is $10, and shots are available on a walk-in basis from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the public health division's main location, 820 Scenic Drive, Modesto.

"Annual flu shots are important for seniors because seniors are more likely than others to become seriously ill if they get the flu," said Dr. John Walker, the county's public health officer.
