Stanislaus County's Health Services Agency offers the following programs
among its many services:
- Dental disease prevention (558-6828)
-- Providing education for preschool and elementary-age children.
- Diabetes education and counseling (558-5654)
-- Certified diabetic educators offer information and counseling. This
service also is available in Spanish.
- Keep baby safe project (558-5656)
-- Car-seat safety classes and school for violators approved by the
court. Classes are offered in several languages.
- Tobacco control education (558-6053)
-- Education and stop-smoking classes geared toward youths.
- Women, Infants and Children program (558-7377)
-- Nutrition education, free supplemental foods, dietary assessment
and counseling, and referrals to health care for eligible pregnant,
breast-feeding, and postpartum women, and children under the age of
five.
- Health education classes (558-5675)
-- Call for schedules and appointment.
