Stanislaus County’s Health Services Agency has replaced an outdated mammography machine at its 830 Scenic Drive clinic, thanks to proceeds from the 2002 and 2003 FORE HSA! Golf tournaments. The tournaments, held in April at Diablo Grande resort west of Patterson, raised more than $120,000. About $80,000 was used was used in September to replace a breast-cancer screening unit that no longer met regulatory specifications, said Assistant HSA Director John Schaper. The rest of the funding bought other medical equipment and tobacco education materials.
