The
Stanislaus County Health Services Agency continues to give flu shots for
medically fragile adults — by appointment only. At recent clinics,
the county administered more than 4,000 doses to people in high-risk categories.
But officials held some doses in reserve because it's unhealthy for some
with chronic conditions to stand in line. The county also has pediatric
doses for those who qualify for the government's Vaccines for Children Program.
To arrange an appointment, county residents may call the flu information
line at 558-8872. A $15-per-shot donation is requested. |
