On Tuesday from 3 to 4:30 a.m., the East Side Mosquito Abatement District will spray the second of four areas in Modesto. The accompanying map shows the area that will be sprayed. There will be spraying in two other residential quadrants Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Residents are asked to close windows and turn off window-unit air conditioners when spraying is taking place in the immediate area. People who suffer from chemical sensitivities should consult their physician or local health department and take special measures to avoid exposure.
