The Wal-Mart store in Modesto is holding a family safety fair on Oct.
8. Representatives from several agencies and organizations will be on
hand to provide demonstrations, answer questions and hand out materials.
The safety fair is open to the public and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at the store on Plaza Parkway off Sisk Road. There will be representatives
from the Sheriff's Department, Modesto police, Drug Abuse Resistance Education,
Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Haven Women's Center, Child Protective
Services, the California Highway Patrol, the Center for Human Services,
Doctors Medical Center, the American Red Cross, the Health Services Agency
and many more.
