Licensed registered nurses and nonmedical volunteers are needed to provide
flu clinic services to patients weekdays from October through December.
Working as a team with volunteers and staff, volunteer nurses will administer
flu vaccine, fill syringes with vaccine, take medical histories, provide
health education and make patients feel at ease. Nonmedical volunteers
are also needed to direct patients to appropriate lines, ensure patients
flu packets are accurate and complete by utilizing flu records, and answer
questions. Medical volunteers must have a current RN license, knowledge
of all infection control and confidentiality policies, have good communications
skills, physical mobility, and should enjoy working with a diverse population.
