INFANTS
(Birth to 1 year old, up to 20 pounds)
Seat type: Infant-only rear-facing or convertible rear-facing
Tip: Never use in a front seat with an air bag.
INFANTS
(Less than 1 year old, 20-35 pounds)
Seat type: Convertible rear-facing
Tip: Make sure harness straps and slots are at or below shoulder level.
PRESCHOOLERS/TODDLERS
(1 to 4 years old, 20-40 pounds)
Seat type: Convertible forward-facing or high-back booster with harness
Tip: Make sure harness straps are snug on child.
YOUNG CHILDREN
(4 to 8 years old, under 4 feet 9 inches tall)
Seat type: Belt-positioning booster with no back or one with a high back
Tip: Never use with lap-only belts. Belt-positioning boosters always
should be used with lap and shoulder belts.
