Stanislaus
County – 80% of Stanislaus County residents live in areas designated
as urban. With a population over 500,000, planning plays a vital role in
determining the future health status of Stanislaus County.
Dr. Richard Jackson, State Public Health Officer for California, will
be making a special presentation on Urban Planning and Health, from 11
a.m. – noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Modesto Centre Plaza.
There will be time designated for media questions and answers with Dr.
Jackson following the presentation between 12:10 p.m. and 12:25 p.m.
Elected officials, architects, planners, builders, health care workers
and any citizens interested in the relationship between urban planning
and health are invited to attend this free presentation sponsored by the
Health Services Agency Foundation of Stanislaus County
