Have you heard the buzz about West Nile Virus? |

Stanislaus
County - The Stanislaus County West Nile Virus Task Force reminds you that
West Nile virus is passed by the bite of an infected mosquito and is not
passed from person to person.
Protect yourself and your family from mosquito bites that spread the
virus.
- When you go outside, use mosquito repellant containing DEET
- When possible, wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants
- And remove standing water around your home where mosquitoes breed
- Anyone can become infected, but if you are over 50, you’re at
higher risk for severe disease or even death from West Nile virus.
Remember, the best defense comes from things you can do yourself. Fight
the bite! Tell mosquitoes to buzz off! |
