| Stanislaus
County – Prenatal health and fitness is one of the featured
segments of the August edition of the Stanislaus Health show. Modesto resident,
and marathon runner, Melissa Hanson is featured as she explores ways of
staying healthy during her pregnancy. The segment also examines the benefits
of yoga and water aerobics for pregnant women.
Childhood immunizations are examined for their safety and how well they
protect our children. Also, the impact of urban sprawl on the public’s
health is examined in an in-depth interview with pediatrician and author,
Dr. Richard Jackson. Dr. Jackson is formerly a senior health official
with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and most recently
was the Public Health Officer for the State of California.
The first airing of the August show will take place Monday, August 1
at 6:30 p.m.
The locally written and produced show is presented by the Health Services
Agency Foundation and the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency.
The August edition of the show airs five days per week through the month
of August.
