County – The nurses of the Stanislaus County Health Services
Agency immunization program would like to remind the public it is time for
children to receive their back to school vaccinations. Avoid the rush by
getting your child’s vaccinations now. The State of California requires
children to be vaccinated for a variety of diseases before they can attend
classes. Requirements vary by age range.
Visual opportunities with nurses and patients
from the immunization program will be available by contacting the HSA
Media Relations Office at (209) 558-5636. Nurses will also be available
for interviews on vaccination issues.
Children can be held out of school by administrators if they are not
current on their vaccinations. “Children need their immunizations
not only to stay in school, but they need them to maintain good health,”
stated Nancy Bancroft, immunization coordinator for the Health Services
Agency.
Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00
a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The public can call the immunization program at 558-4818 for information
on immunizations. An appointment is not necessary. There is a fee of $10
per shot.
