Stanislaus County Employees Preparing for Emergency

Stanislaus County – County employees at the County Center II location, where the main campus of the Health Services Agency, and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services are located on Scenic Drive, will be having a campus wide evacuation drill on October 30th, 2006, at 8:15 AM. An earthquake scenario will be used for reason to evacuate. The Modesto Fire department will be observing this drill, with the provision of fire vehicles on scene. The Incident Command will be set up along Scenic Drive, in the parking lot.

The event will start approximately 8:15 AM with all staff and clients evacuating all County Center II buildings. This includes Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Health Services Agency, Community Services Agency, General Services Agency, and Parks. The majority of staff and clients should be back in the buildings approximately 8:30 a.m. This is a part of the required evacuation drills conducted twice a year, only on a larger scale.
