Refugee Health Assessment Program (RHAP)
The Refugee Health Assessment Program (RHAP) offers a free comprehensive health assessment to newly arrived refugees, asylees, federally certified victims of human trafficking, and other eligible entrants such as Special Immigrant Visa holders, and countries eligible for U.S. Humanitarian parole. During these health assessments, clients receive vaccinations, undergo lab testing, and are connected to any necessary care services.
Our goal is to support your health and connect you to the care you need as you begin life in the United States.
Services We Provide
- Screenings for communicable diseases and chronic health conditions
- Referrals to primary care doctors and specialists for ongoing medical needs
- Women’s health services, including prenatal care
- Vaccinations required for school and immigration
- Mental health assessments and connections to counseling services
- Culturally based interpretation for your language needs
- Transportation assistance for clinic appointments
What To Expect During Your Visit
Within your first 90 days in the U.S., you will have two visits:
- First Visit (Intake) – We ask about your health, look at your records, and start basic tests.
- Second Visit (Physical Exam) – You get a full check-up and connection for additional care as needed.
Bring with you:
- Your alien number and date of arrival
- Any vaccination records
- A list of medicines you take
- Any other health papers
